This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which Arjuna Ishaya will process any personal data we collect from you, or which you provide to us, in the course of using our site www.arjunaishaya.com ("site"). For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 we are the data controller.

Your privacy is extremely important to Arjuna Ishaya.  This privacy statement provides information about the personal information that we collect, and the ways in which Arjuna Ishaya uses that personal information. 

When do we collect information?

When you subscribe to our newsletter or register for our services - online webinar, course, coaching, mentoring or during certain promotions when you are invited to provide your name and email address in order to receive a gift.

We record some information automatically when you use our site (including with technologies like cookies). For specific information on cookies, please see section 2: Cookies Policy.

What information do we collect?

When placing an order or filling out a form on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, postal address, telephone number or email address. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

We also use cookies that collect information to help the site run effectively and for analytical purposes. For specific information on cookies, please see section 2: Cookies Policy.

What do we use your information for?

Any information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:

  • To send periodic emails - mainly newsletter updates. The email address you provide for order processing may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, as well as timely company news and announcements regarding related products and services. Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. To personalize your experience, your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs.

  • To improve our website. We strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.

  • To improve customer service. Your information helps us to more efficiently respond to your customer service requests and support needs.

  • To process transactions. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested by the customer.

  • To administer a contest, promotion, survey, or other site feature.

How do we protect your information?

Arjuna Ishaya implements a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information.

Our email mailing list is held inside MailChimp. Their privacy policies can be found here.

Squarespace runs our website and collects analytical information via cookies (see below in section 2: Cookies Policy for more information). Their privacy policy in regards to us as a customer as well as you as a visitor or end user can be found here. In particular, to learn more about what Squarespace does with visitor/end user data, see sections 4(b), 5, 6, and 12 of their Privacy Policy.

If a form is submitted then a copy of the form is held within Arjuna Ishaya's email system so that we can contact you about your order. Only Arjuna and his personal assistant have access to any information provided and everything is password protected. 

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

No. Never. Arjuna Ishaya does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. One such third party is Squarespace who we manage the site through. Another is MailChimp who run our email service. Both parties privacy policies can be found above, under “How do we protect your information?”. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property or safety. 

Third Party Links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

4. Health Policy

You are only allowed to attend our clinic, training course/workshop or retreat if you are of good enough health to get to and from the location without support and look after yourself during your time with us. No claims are being made that our methods can heal physical conditions. Our clinics, courses, retreats or products should not substitute for the advice and treatment of a physician, doctor or other licensed health-care professional.

Your attendance at our in person events means you understand that we, the Event Teacher(s), will comply with and follow all current Governmental guidelines and directives concerning infectious diseases such as COVID-19, and you understand and agree to follow such guidelines and directives. You also understand and agree that your attendance is at solely at your own risk.

Furthermore, you release and agree to hold The Bright Path Ishayas’ and the Event Teacher(s) harmless from, and waive on behalf of yourself, your heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the organising Event Teacher(s), or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from them. You understand that this release discharges the Event Teacher(s) from any liability or claim that you, your heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the them with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from the organising the Event Teacher(s). This liability waiver and release extends to the The Bright Path Ishaya organisation together with all Bright Path Ishaya Teachers therein.


5. Refunds for Talks, Courses, Coaching/Mentoring and Retreats

Arjuna's coaching/mentoring sessions and packages are mainly done online using Skype and Zoom.  Please do not book unless you are willing to meet Arjuna via Skype and/or Zoom for some or all of your consultations.  

When Arjuna agrees to work with a coaching/mentoring client he commits to the full package and will work with you to ensure all of your sessions take place within a reasonable period of time.  No refunds (including partial refunds) are available for unused sessions if you change your mind, life gets busy, you decide you don't want to use Skype and/or Zoom, or you decide you do not want to continue with your coaching/mentoring package for any other reason.  It is in your best interest to finish the coaching/mentoring package that you begin - so Arjuna does not encourage quitting before your work with him is complete.  Coaching/mentoring packages must be completed within 12 months of purchase date. 

Session attendance cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session date and time may be charged. 

Due to financial commitment made by Arjuna Ishaya when running in-person talks, events, retreats and courses refund amounts reduce the closer you get to the commencement of the event (and do not include non-refundable deposits where stated at time of booking):

  • Cancellations made 30 or more days prior to training start
    date are given a full refund

  • Cancellations made between 29 and 14 days prior to training
    start date are given a 75% refund

  • Cancellations made between 13 and 7 days prior to training
    start date are given a 50% refund

  • Cancellations made between 6 and 0 days prior to training
    start date are not eligible for refund

6. Disclaimer

I understand that using any advice or technique shared by Arjuna Ishaya is completely voluntary, under my own free will and at my own risk.

I also understand that no assurance guaranteeing my safety is being made and I agree to hold ARJUNA ISHAYA or ASCENSION MEDITATION (AM) or THE ISHAYAS' ASCENSION (IA) or THE BRIGHT PATH ISHAYAS' ASCENSION (TBPIA) or THE BRIGHT PATH ISHAYAS, the sponsors, facilitators, organisers and property owners completely harmless of all liability if I sustain any injury (except for any injury which is caused by ARJUNA ISHAYA’s negligence or fraud or the negligence or fraud of any other party listed above). By agreeing to this waiver, I agree to assume full responsibility for any injury or injuries, physical, emotional and mental, that I may sustain when using AM, IA, TBPIA or any other technique shared by ARJUNA ISHAYA which is not caused by ARJUNA ISHAYA’s negligence or fraud (or the negligence or fraud of any other party listed above).

I also understand that ARJUNA ISHAYA shall not be liable to me, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, for any loss of profit, or for any indirect or consequential loss sustained by me or any third party arising under, or in connection with, me practising AM, IA, TBPIA or any other technique shared by ARJUNA ISHAYA. However, nothing in this Disclaimer shall limit or exclude ARJUNA ISHAYA’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or the negligence of its employees, agents or subcontractors or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
