I realised something vital the other night while running a webinar for the Felix Fund, the bomb disposal charity.
The previous session hadn’t clicked, and I couldn't figure out why.
Last night, I saw it clearly: it was simply attitude. I’d doubted my material, my presence wasn't fully behind it, and the result was distinctly less than.
This time, I decided to stand tall. I stopped trying to be “right” for everyone and delivered something true to me.
I stopped holding back, hedging my bets, or prefacing with apologies. I just spat it out – nicely, you know what I mean – and the whole thing lifted.
Now –
How often do we limit our impact by pussyfooting around?
Imagine your favourite band playing a show, but instead of putting their heart and soul into the music, they held back, unsure if the crowd would like them.
It would be awful.
Sure, not everyone will like the music, but that’s taste.
You’re not everyone’s cup of tea; you can’t be.
If you try, you’ll just be a lukewarm version of nothing much – and no one likes that kind of tea, least of all yourself. Doing this satisfies no one.
You see?
How often do we edit ourselves to try and appeal to everyone?
Your life takes on another level when you stop being about correct and right/not wrong and start being about what you know to be true.
You just sing your song because it’s the only song you can sing – and your people will sing back.
Do it.
Go well!

PS.
Join me at the next Ascension course, 3-5 July.
I’ll walk you through the exact tools and practices I use to keep seeing blindspots like the above, and go beyond them.
Rising above … ascending … you get it?
You’ll have something reliable to take you beyond the doubts of the mind so you can effortlessly be you – nothing to prove and nothing to hide.
The course detail link is in my profile, or DM me for it or to ask all your questions, or comment and I’ll get it to you.
