Focus grows

What you put your attention on, grows.

Your life is where your attention is. Truly – If it’s on that rather delicious looking banana, peanut butter and honey cinnamon bagel, that bagel becomes your life.

Maybe for only a moment, but depending on how obsessed you are about it, or anything, that thing gets sticky and fills all your moments.

Choose wisely! Choose what you want to fill your moments with.

Place your attention on drama and misery and outrage and that becomes the sum total of your life. The world becomes a poisonous place. But the truth is, you poison yourself.

Place it on beauty and trust and integrity and truth, and that becomes your life. The world becomes glorious, you create heaven on earth.

Living in a dream world?

Maybe. But it’s your dream to choose. You are the curator of your life, and the foundation is what you choose to focus on.

Don't create chaos where there doesn’t need to be. (Does there ever need to be?) Create stillness, calm, appreciation and compassion instead.

It’s a beautiful world, actually. Focus on that.

PS. This does not mean you don’t DO anything. It means your foundation is a one of positive wholeness, AND you see how you can make it even better.

You are the curator of your life.

Some news!

I’m going to be interviewing Maharani Ishaya online (no nasty bugs!) about her new book, her life and spiritual path.

Maharani is an Ishaya monk originally from Mexico who now travels the world as the translator for Maharishi Krishnananda, the teacher of the Ishayas internationally.

She’s funny, passionate and very very wise.

Her book is called, "Whole-ass: Stop living a half-assed life and enjoy an extraordinary existence. So you can play your part in making the world a better place."

Get yourself a ringside seat.

There'll be some free giveaways too!
