Expanding your World Beyond Your Well Walls

“A frog in a well cannot conceive of the ocean.”

— Chinese Proverb

I love quotes.

They remind me of what is true, of what works, in a beautiful concise package.

I got sent this one recently, and it’s a goody.

Your world is as large as what you believe is possible.

But from an early age, we wall ourselves in, setting limits on what is possible, what we can and can’t do, but also what we do as a matter of routine.

This inner work involves a healthy dose of seeing what’s beyond these self imposed limits as well as those that we’ve been told so many times we’ve accepted them as “true”:

It means choosing a flexible, “Let’s see” kind of attitude over a concrete, absolute wall of "one way only”.

For if you stay only with, “this is the way it must be”, your world becomes small, offering almost zero potential to grow or change.

What does it cost you to wonder? To not hold anything as absolute? Or even impossible?

To ponder a little more along the lines of “What if?” – or, most importantly, to not even think about it but simply greet and engage with each moment in innocence, with a fresh, “Let’s find out” kind of vision.

How would your experience of life be then?

So be careful of the stories you tell yourself, for these become you.

“The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend”

— Persian proverb.

Your mind only knows what it knows, and your world becomes it.

But when you drop the mind and become present, filled with presence, what then?

Going beyond your mind expands your life in beautiful ways.

This is the true purpose of Ascension – or any meditation practice worth its salt. It isn’t self-indulgent navel gazing, or a doing nothing waste of time (insert your own limiting belief here). It is a life-expanding device.

For many a sticky point is the fear that if I let go of the control I’m so familiar with, then what?

The ocean awaits.

Go well!
Arjuna

PS.

Now, as another Persian line goes, “Trust in God, but tie up your camels”.

You don’t need your mind as much as you think you do, but don’t read this to mean do nothing.

Perhaps even more gets done. But the difference between a life lived in fear, control, limitation and negativity and one lived in possibility and freedom with pure enjoyment and appreciation is night and day.

Don’t believe the walls of the well that says you can’t have a life free of fear and limitation.

To help you do that –

I’m getting dates for the 2026 schedule of Ascension courses.

If you want to go beyond your mind, for a life of possibility, freedom, pure enjoyment and potential, then I have some one-to-one coaching slots available.
