This is what I know to be true, and good, and what works.
Did I miss any?
1. Go within to go beyond
Peace and presence create the foundation for a life you want to live. The right life – not the life you think you should live – but the real thing, aligned and alive and always. The other way around – “I’ll be happy when …” doesn’t go.
2. You already are what you seek
You don’t need fixing. You’re not broken, you’re not even dented. You just need a way to wake up. You – when you’re asleep and mindless – have some dodgy habits and programmes. But these aren’t You. These go as you step into your higher Self, gracefully, automatically.
3. The signal is beneath the static
Get out of your mind and you’ll know. When you’re feeling out of whack, you’re just asleep, in the static, that’s all. Tune back in and you’ll find your way.
4. The problem isn’t the problem
It’s the think-looping that kicks your butt. Your mind is a great servant, but a terrible master. A mind puppy is an agent of chaos and static; you’re always dealing with its mess. Get a sheepdog.
5. Take responsibility
You – and you alone – create peace or pain in your life. It’s never the thing, it’s always your reaction to the thing. I get it. It hurts and it’s not fair. But. You have the ability to choose differently at any stage, and practice makes progress here.
6. What you focus on, grows
You create the world you live in by where your attention goes. Reality is not democratic. Make it yours! Find the glass half full and the silver lining. You are more blessed than you realise. When you recognise that, you elevate your whole existence.
7. It’s all happening for you
You may not like it or understand it, but it’s not happening to you. You are never being punished. You’re always being guided and supported, invited to more – continually. How good is that?
8. You can’t get this wrong
Don’t panic – the bus won’t leave without you. Play, try a choice out, make some wild decisions, speak up, or shut up and be more patient … you cannot miss out. As long as you …
9. Don’t compromise
Prioritise peace and presence. Don’t ‘yeah-yeah’ this – do whatever it takes to make this first and last on your to-do list, and all of life transforms. Be mindful and not mindless – yes, here where your feet are, but more than simply being present … be filled with presence. Find a way to wake up to who You are.
